About Registration

What recruiting options exist for schools unable to attend?
You have the option of posting a job online.  Candidates will respond directly to your school system using the contact information that you provide in the registration form.

How important is it to indicate district/school needs on registration form?
It’s imperative that you post your schools anticipated hiring needs, since students visit your booth the day of the fair based on this information. Students view the information on the website prior to the event and use this information to research your school system.

What if I don’t know my district/school needs or attendees at the time I register?
If you are not able to anticipate your hiring needs, you may want to click select all on the registration form. By doing so, you leave your options open and all candidates that are interested in your school system will visit your booth.

After I register, how can I update or add to my district/school needs or attendee information?
Use the link in your confirmation e-mail to edit your registration.

What if I need to cancel?
Refunds will not be processed after March 31, 2008. A $50.00 processing fee will be assessed.

At the Fair

When should recruiters arrive and leave the conference?
Since candidates enter the employer area at 8:00, check-in for employers and booth set-up is suggested between 7:00 and 7:45. It is expected that you will stay for the duration of the Fair until 4:00. Keep in mind that after the initial sign-up segment, interviews can be added during Add/Drop Hours. Please notify staff at the employer table if you need to leave early. Also, please check out at the employer table before you leave and complete the employer evaluation.

How is the career fair structured?
Please refer to the schedule for the day for details. Students will sign-up for interviews between 8:00 and 9:30. Also during that time students will be able to speak with recruiters with whom they were not able to schedule an interview. Actual interviews begin at 9:45. How can I attract the candidates that I want to my booth?

After the sign-up period, how are gaps in my schedule filled?
Staff will pick up a copy of your schedule at 9:30. Students will then be informed of open interviews slots and be able to sign-up for additional interviews during the add/drop hours from 11:00 to 3:00. You will be informed of changes to your schedule.

Are electrical outlets available so I can show a video?
A limited number of electrical outlets will be available on a first-come, first- served basis for using a laptop. Audio/video systems are discouraged in order to insure optimum acoustics for interviews. Please inform your host member of your needs by the career fair deadline date .

Can I schedule interviews longer than 15-minutes?
Yes. Just alter the schedule provided at your booth, which students will use to sign-up for interviews. Make sure the student is aware of the change to your schedule.

Can I see more than one candidate at the time?
Yes. Just alter the schedule provided at your booth or request another schedule form, so more than one student can sign-up on the same time slot.

What is the role of the recruiter?
Recruiters are asked to have booths set-up and staffed by 8:00am which will allow candidates ample time to sign-up during the Sign-up/Networking segment of the fair. Please be aware that candidates obtaining an interview are anticipating a screening interview unless otherwise indicated by you. We ask that you notify a fair representative if you plan on leaving early so that we may inform candidates of your early departure.
