Leveraging Your Duke Experience (139 Soc. Sci.)
What is the value of your Duke education? How should you “sell” yourself to people outside the Duke community? Come and hear what you can do to market your education, your extracurricular activities and campus involvement, as well as your internships and work experience. This will be an opportunity to learn from deans, faculty, and Student Affairs staff about how to leverage your Duke experience.

Book Bag to Briefcase (McClendon 5 - West Campus)
Graduation is right around the corner and you are feeling a bit anxious about leaving your nest at Duke. For the past several years, housing and utilities have been paid for by your parents, financial aid, or student loans; you’ve become accustomed to swiping your card for meals; and your only real worries have been making the grade. The transition to real life can be tough if you are not properly prepared for it. This panel of recent graduates will focus on the transition from school to work. They will educate you on such mundane matters as taxes, insurance, unscrupulous landlords, and dating.
10:00 pm - 12:00 am

Learn why you should never choose Cornish Game Hen or cherry tomatoes from the menu. And learn when to choose merlot over cabernet. This is an opportunity to really broaden your education!
